Bejeweled Blues

I arrive to an island,

three birds dive down,

searching for their food.

I lurch myself forward

touching the clear water,

rushing my eyes with

aqua and ocean blue views.

Tempestuous wonders of jumping in,

the water looking oh so spacious.

I walk myself to the opposite side of the island,

pushing through the carmel rocks.

Reaching across the island,

I toss a tiny tan rock into the still,

aqua clear water keeping its charm.

Alarming the fish away,

swishing into the water.

Sensations of cooling H20,

splashes of pooling.

Schools of fish pass by,

fish with miraculous shades in color.

Serenading my eyes with lilacs and mandarin oranges.

Hypnotizing me with majestic summertime joy,

thoughts of leaving annoy.

Wanting to stay in the bejeweled.
