Lost
The moonlight shimmers in the night sky
Shooting stars sing as they pass by
But as the Earth keeps spinning
The sun will drift away
Never to return
We will be lost
In a world
Without
Light

My inspiration for this piece comes from people's relationship with the world around us. We have all these beautiful objects surrounding us, yet many people don't seem to appreciate them. Without the wonderful things that surround us in the world, we would be lost in the darkness. I personally have always loved looking at the stars are the moon, which were key parts in this poem.
