Hurting Wont Stop
Hurting Wont Stop
From Stephen King’s book Rose Madder
The stones around you
see from a distance
The tiny things will hurt
you
Daydream bright lights
Treasures always
have a truth
Thirsty for blood
everyone looks at
you rhinos you are
the same as them
Everyone is your own
person
No one is the same
Trauma makes
pain
Abuse hurts almost as
bad as pain does
Heartbreak wont
stop
Only thing that
will stop is the
people around you
Mental pain hurts
as bad as physical
pain
Don’t shut people out
talk about it

Poet’s note
The title of my poem is “Hurting Wont Stop” created from Stephen King’s novel Rose Madder. I gave my poem the title “Hurting Wont Stop” because I thought it would be a good enough title for this poem. My poem is about trauma and pain. The theme of my poem is when someone gets hurt or abused they will be hurting for a while and it will only get better if you try to make it better. I would like to tell other people about my book because I think it may help others and educate them but it may be triggering to others that have gotten abused before or had something bad happen to them similar to this.
