Ode to Carpet
Oh carpet I love you
You can be so many colors
A rainbow you can walk on
So many textures
You either walking on a beach or walking on sandpaper
When you are new you smell of freshness
But after years, you ought to get cleaned
Because you might have a stain or smell
Your length determines your worth
I yearn to lay in long carpet
But I loath to lay in short carpet
I can't hear you when I walk on you
You feel better than lush grass
You don't taste like plastic or dirt, especially if your dirty
You have infinite possibilities of colors and length
Like artwork on the floor
Oh carpet I love you
