Ode to Sunrises

Oh beautiful sunrise
Your light hits my window
The morning has come
I no longer have to mourn
The day has begun
The sun above the horizon
Beaming yellow rays
They light up the sky
Leaving a sparkle in my eye
The clouds are like cotton candy
Pink and blue
So fluffy in the sky
I feel like I can reach out and grab a few
Oh beautiful sunrise
The day was crisp and clear
The warmth on my skin
The smell of grass in the air
The night has come
But soon I will see
Those beautiful colors paint the sky
As a new day begins
