Ode to Sun

Your light shines down on me from 6am to 6pm.

You make me feel warm. 

Your happiness helps to uplift me. 

You glide effortlessly across the sky. 

You paint the most beautiful pictures in both the morning and evening. 

In the evening I sit and watch as you fall asleep.

In the morning I sit and I watch as you wake up. 

You carry so much joy with you and indicate the start of a new day. 

On a warm summer day I can always look up and find you.

I can always count on you to be there hanging out in the sky.

You warm the sands on the beaches, and help all of the plants grow. 

Your warmth gravitates across the Earth.  

Whenever you go to sleep your best friend takes your place. 

The moon brings chilly air and reminds me of my favorite season. 

As winter comes you go into hiding, but when spring arrives you come out of hibernation.
