I went searching for a new solution,
But only found the downfall of my life.
I went searching for a new personality,
But only found the pain of a knife.
A simple reminder that I was just fine,
Would have come in handy.
A simple embrace,
Would have been plenty.
Your eyes were daggers,
In my soul and mind.
Your words stung,
All so elaborately entwined.
I just wanted you to love me.
