The Empire - Sestina
Towering all is the empire
Its reign like an icy grip
Spreading the corruption
Without a second thought
All cast in a dull gray
A force of nature
Standing within nature
Looming tall is the empire
The sky a solid gray
Taking the breeze in its grip
Not allowing a thought
Only a means to corruption
In the forest, seeds of corruption
Tainting the innocent nature
Of any single thought
Suffocating the empire
Its hands becoming an iron grip
Turning all life into a lifeless gray
The air turned a misty gray
As if concealing the corruption
Hiding from its torturous grip
Killing all is its nature
Spreading fast towards the empire
To cease all its thought
In lies the thought
Amidst the haunting walls of gray
The glory of the empire
Caught in its political corruption
Unaware of the danger of nature
That murders all in its grip
The empire taken in its grip
Only pain in the thought
Of one being taken by nature
Eaten by the hungering mist of gray
Corruption consuming corruption
Stealing all from the empire
All lie still in nature, loosened of grip
Receding of gray, dense corruption
None left of thought, the death of the empire
