(lead and snapshot #1) A silver necklace with a shiny heart pendant hanging from it. It shines bright under the sun and stands out even in a dark room. As a gift from my beloved mother, the necklace holds deep value and symbolizes the connection I have with her. Worn every day, this certain piece of jewelry fills my heart with joy and I am reminded of the memory as to when I was gifted it.

(snapshot #2) I wake up excitedly every morning to soon be satisfied with the placement of this necklace around my neck. The cold metal feeling of the chain sends chills up my spine.  Later on to be a fascinating heirloom, it is now worn as a way to express my true feelings. 

(snapshot #3) Today as I wear this necklace, I am still reminded of when I first got it in the summer. My memory is flooded with a happy story that can be reflected upon the shiny pendant as it hangs from the chain. This necklace can be seen from so far away, from the silvery brassy tone it displays.

(sketch place) On a warm summer evening, I am sitting outside on my patio when my mom approaches from the door with a wrapped box in her hand. My eyes widen as I realize it is a gift approaching me. I stand up out of the cushioned chair as I am eager to run toward the door. I give my mom a hug as she walks toward me on the doormat. She explains, “I got you something.” I eagerly opened the gift and threw the wrapping paper onto the grass, without a care in the world. I slowly opened the box, to pull out the necklace that began to sway in the cool summer breeze. My eyes lit up almost as bright as the fireflies that were surrounding us. I thank my mother for such a wonderful gift that I will cherish forever.

(sketch person) My mom who stands pridefully at 5”7, has brown hair and kind hazel eyes. She often helps others and is known for doing nice gestures for other people, such as giving me surprises like jewelry or meaningful ideas.  My mom is bright and lively and always has a smile on her face. She is very well-spoken and present around others.

This experience of being gifted this necklace was important to me because I will remember it forever and the happiness it gave me. It shaped who I am because it made me more thankful as a person and I no longer am ungrateful for anything. Something I learned was that even though a gift might be small, it can still hold a lot of power and have a good purpose. This necklace carries a positive impact around me and it has become a significant factor in the prideful mood I show every day.
