What a World I’d Wish to See
Life is filled with such confusion,
how I wish we lived in an illusion.
What a world I’d love to see,
where our souls might be set free.
Where promises are never broken,
and lies aren’t ever spoken.
Where kites are flown in the rain,
and we’d forget about the pain.
Where we all knew who we were,
and all intentions were made pure.
Where “perfect” didn’t exist,
and all judgment would desist.
Where love wasn’t seen as a sin,
and respect wasn’t based on your skin.
Where women won’t earn less,
and our hearts were free of stress.
A world where pigs could fly,
and no one would wonder why.
Where wishes did come true,
and plans never went askew.
What a wonderful world indeed,
if we never disagreed.
Forever wishing for an illusion,
where life wasn’t filled with such confusion.
