Love like the moon
Isn’t it amazing how the sun loves the moon?
He dies every night so she doesn’t fall in ruin.
What if we all loved like the moon I once heard you remark,
It doesn’t steal the night but brings beauty to the dark.
Because how’d we know the dark if there wasn’t light,
Isn’t that why we chose the stars to be our guide?
Despite the dim and daunting night they still chose to shine,
I don’t believe but doesn’t it seem like a sign?
That despite our deepest truths the light perseveres,
And after the biggest storms don’t the clouds return clear?
Like the moon we go through phases to feel full again,
But after the darkest nights the light always remains.
