Clarivel
Clarivel
Is the middle name my dad chose for me
It’s Pronouced as Cla- ri-vel
Not Claribel with a B
My aunt calls me Clari
My mom calls me Clarivel when she pissed at me
Cla ri vel
What does that mean though..
Google says it means Bright
But why Bright?
Should I always shine Bright like Diamond?
Or
Bright like the sun?
Even if I am sad or mad?
Should I always be Bright even if I diasspoint my self?
My dad once told me “You will always be bright in my eyes”
But how, If I dont feel bright myself
I dont feel bright when I can’t catch on to the Algebra lesson
I don’t feel bright when I made my mother cry
I dont feel bright when I have another panic attack
Bright They say
I wake up in the morning and tell myself “God let this day be bright”
Cla ri vel
The Argentian name my dad gave me
To represent that I could be bright even though I am not perfect

This poem was honestly made last minute but It turned into something beautiful and one of my favorite poetry pieces I made. This is also inspired by the poet Cassandra Anouthay.
