I tried my best and you gave me the rest
I feel like I’m constantly taking a test
I feel cornered and oppressed
But I tried my best and I’m scared to death
Don’t fly too high or low
Or you’ll end up like Icarus
Dead, Alone, or Either way just bones
But I give you my best and what you’re doing I detest!
But I will continue to give you my best
Through better or worse even if it hurts
I promise until death do us part I’ll give you my best
Even if I only end up getting the rest
My heart beats for you
Still even in this emotional typhoon
