As I Stare Into The Mirror
As I stare into the mirror
I wonder why God sculptured me the way I look
Why God choose me to look different from what society embraces?
Why I must suffer through from being the ugly fat girl?
Why can't I look like the model who walks runways?
Why do I have to be different?
As I stare into the mirror
I see a happy chubby little girl who never cared about her weight
Who laughed and played like she had no worries in the world
But then I blinked and she was gone
Replaced with a teenager who can't even look at herself in a mirror without wondering
Why God made her so different
Wondering if anyone would turn back around to stare at her
Wondering if she will ever get a compliment about her body or looks
She may be perfect in others' eyes but in hers nothing is perfect about her
As I stare into the mirror
I can't see what everyone sees but I see what I see
And I see a view that needs fixing
