The Beach
The smell of the sea salt,
The feeling of the sand between your toes,
The sun shining on your skin,
Causing a little glow.
The sounds of waves,
Hitting the rocks next to you.
Relaxing in the sun,
Not being bothered by anyone.
You feel the cool summer breeze,
Cooling off your skin,
For a few minutes.
The sound of children’s laughter,
Or how some adults are laughing with them,
You see some familiar drink next to them,
The sugary drink that you had as a kid,
You laugh at the memory of you begging for the drink,
Then you notice the little things,
Like the shiny, red crab running across the sand,
Or the jellyfish that wash up on shore,
You realized that the beach is peaceful
If you're calm and enjoying the moment.
