an ode to my favorite color
pink, you are a beautiful, eclectic color
like the feel of the sun kissing your skin on a spring’s day
when compared to her, everyone else seems duller
an undertone of innocence with a splash of care from a superficial lover
as soft as a lush pillow, you remind me of the most dainty tulip i saw today
pink, you are a beautiful, eclectic color
the shushed screams of our women who fought now recover
so please treat my beloved pink with the same respect as blue or grey
when compared to her, everyone else seems duller
as sweet as a Valentine’s day candy treat, everyone loves her
she isn’t a “baby color,” weak, or to be objectifyed on display
pink, you are a beautiful, eclectic color
with tenderness and charisma, she has perfected perfection, like her there’s no other
fluffy and fun like a fresh whipped meringue as soft and sophisticated as ballet
when compared to her, everyone else seems duller
she is empowerment, passion, and a thriving dahlia in the summer
she romantic, caring, everything nice, sugar and spice, but not in a naive way
pink, you are a beautiful, eclectic color
when compared to her, everyone else seems duller
