When the big hand is squeezing my heart
and the little hand is in my stomach
drumming its fingers.
Every time I see you
with every calm, collected smile
and every charming laugh
the clock ticks the seconds by
closer and closer to the hour
closer and closer to maybe,
maybe,
maybe.
