Our Final Goodbye
Time widdles and chips away at everything.
Turning the brightest days into sorrowful hours,
Fading moments in time from our memory
until they’re gone.
The season of flourishing spring transforming to cold and dreadful winter.
Darling, you were my spring flowers.
My summer sun.
My Fall breeze.
But now, my love, it seems time has taken its toll on you.
Among these flowers so full of new life,
Time has taken you from me.
Making our once warm embrace into a cold distance.
My light, it is here I’ll place my final kiss upon your waxen face,
And leave you to rest among the beauty and life of the flowers you once loved.
