Kinetic Molecular Theory
Kinetic Molecular Theory is like engaging in dodgeball in space
It's an analogy to embody the molecule’s motion
Just like in real dodgeball you could get thwapped in the face
But it can help you fathom this complicated notion
The gas molecules are space dodgeballs
As you play dodgeball in the vastness of space
In comparison, the balls are incredibly small
So small in fact that they are an insignificant disgrace
Space dodgeballs don’t act as you’d expect
They voyage in a straight line until they collide
However, this is the point where these space dodgeballs defect
Instead of clattering and plunging to the ground, executing something else is what they decide
They elastically spring off each other in a random direction
And aren’t deprived of any energy in this “elastic collision”
You see, in space, there is absolutely no friction
This gives the balls a simple decision
Between the balls, there are no forces of attraction
They just bounce around without a care in the world nor any dissatisfaction
With all that being said this poem is now a completed transaction
