Thoughts about Chemistry
CHEMISTRY CLASS
Copper is orange
Nitrogen is blue
I hate Chemistry
And it hates me too
Through thick and thin
Through the pain and struggle
I’m still an idiot
And that makes me chuckle
I’ve learned about elements
I’ve learned about bonds
Covalent, Ionic
The list just goes on
Inside the bond
Electrons are shared
They may come out separately
Or together as a pair
Bonds create reactants
And reactants collide
The new elements are formed
Like oxygen and fluoride
Sometimes they mix
And sometimes they don’t
Like my opinion on the class
It definitely won’t
You might be surprised
At the things that I’ve learned
Like how Helium can freeze
And Lithium will burn
The class stinks of coffee
Violently brewed
It makes me forget
That my Quarter Project is due
I’m not gonna lie
Chemistry is great
But when it comes to the tests
All hope fades away
I can’t help but wonder
Is it too much to ask
Why I’m sitting here in English
Talking about Chemistry class…

This piece describes what I think chemistry is like.
