Is my perception my reality?
I can never see her quite right
I always say shes too dark or a bit too light
I wish I could see her and see what i like
She's bigger when im sad
She's smaller when im happy
She's become my everyday fad
Is she real or is she fake?
Is she changing day to day?
Is she in my head or is she unfeigned?
Is it possible the shadow in the mirror is altered by a ray?

When I think of my shadow I think of a full body image of myself reflected on something else. Struggling with an ed and body dysmorphia tends to make me see my “shadow” as something it is not. This poem reflects my question of wheather my reality is what i percieve it as or not.
