The Anxious Mountain
The mountain tightens with stress,
Filled with lava, about to explode.
Not yet, not yet,
Worrying about disrupting everything.
“Can’t explode, need to stay strong.”
So it procrastinates.
Others think it’s dormant,
But it knows it can’t hold it in
Much longer.
Not yet, not yet.
But people are glaring
As it starts to tremble.
Smoke blows, lava surges.
Filled with tense magma, which needed to be released.
It is no longer a mountain, but a volcano.
The volcano is not hot and anxious anymore
After realizing sometimes it was going to explode
And that was okay.
It formed a beautiful island.
Blossoming flowers,
A volcano with no worries.
