The Moment I Knew
The night sky, The breathtaking view
We laid there, no thoughts, no worries
The beautiful stars, the quiet whispers
The cool wind, Our hands intertwined
We laid there, no thoughts, no worries
That red fuzzy blanket, The cold concrete
The cool wind, Our hands intertwined
Light music, Forehead kisses, Your white hat
That red fuzzy blanket, The cold concrete
Unforgettable memories, Shining smiles
Light music, forehead kisses, Your white hat
Eyes locking, Inevitable giggles
Unforgettable memories, Shining smiles
The beautiful stars, The quiet whispers
Eyes locking, inevitable giggles
The night sky, The breathtaking view

This piece was written about a moment between me and my fiance the night we got engaged. Falling in love so young is such an amazing and scary thing. We have been together since 12 years old and through every problem, we made it through. I had surgery in 2020 after finding out I had a tumor on my pancreas. He spent every night sitting next to me, up all hours of the night just making sure I was okay. A year and a half later when sitting at a beautiful viewpoint I finally asked him, I asked if he would spend the rest of his life with me and the rest is history.
