I sway in the wind
Watch birds migrate in the winter
I bloom in the spring
Sometimes I get lonely
out here
with no one like myself
but I have friends
that live inside me
they make their homes
in my hard body and skinny arms
some even pick at me
children climb on my body
I watch them fly kites on windy days
sometimes it gets stuck in my arms
wish I could help them
I watch the children grow
I like being a tree.
