The Tap
Ode poem
Millie
Millie is my best friend
She meows and purrs
With burrs in her fur
Rolling around
Back and forth, back and forth
Walking on the orange crunchy and crackly leafs
Watching the little chickadees fly through the trees
Meowing and then back to leaves crunching on the ground
Millie’s crispy meows oh, so sweet
Flowing through the wind gracefully
Watching the chickens through the fence
Hearing an echo bouncing off the walls of the chicken coop
Millie is my best friend
Oh how I love Millie
Swatting at a fake plush mouse
Squeaking harmlessly on the floor
The meowing and purring soon comes to a stop
When Millie falls asleep forever, gone
Millie used to be my best friend.
