In English my name means hunter. It means slow. It means quiet, but with excitement, like  someone sneaking through the forest trying not to be heard by nothing. 

It’s like a surprise being planned but going just right, it’s like confetti exploding in colors, it’s like having energy that will last for hours.

It's like the number eight. A bright color. It is the sun peaking through the clouds and shining and consuming the world in bright yellow.

 It was a boy’s name, but my parents wanted it to be more girly. so they added a y. They  thought it was pretty. Whenever someone meets me they always make a comment about how cool and different my name is. Asking why it is different.

At school I always have to repeat my name. Usually people don’t know how to pronounce and spell my name. which can be hard to explain. 

Many people don’t like their name—but I do 

My name can have many different ways you can look at it. It can either be very exciting like A birthday cannon exploding and making a statement or can be very sneaky almost like a hunter.

But I love it. no one else has a name like it.

I’ve always thought it fitting.  It’s like a bright yellow crayon in a mix of all black crayons. Excitement, like how a little kid gets when they get a piece of candy. A pyramid in the middle of nowhere where the sun is beating down. It makes a statement. is interesting. It’s bold and so different from others. When people come across my name they are shocked by it. but I love it at the same time.
