Tennis is my favorite sport.

I feel like myself when I’m on the court.

Hitting back and forth with my opponent across from me,

We begin to go on quite the spree.

The point goes back and forth then finally,

I tuck it away as it goes past her knee.

After the match, I’m happy to see, 

That all my friends won including me.

We have practice, as usual, the next day

Our coach tells us what we get to play.

Queen of the Court is the name of the game.

Grab a partner and try to win your fame.

Forehand, backhand, overhead smash,

My partner and I are over in a flash.

We hear the ball get smacked over the net.

My partner gets it as I would have bet.

Last time through comes a voice from the corner.

This is our last chance we’ll just hit a foreigner.

Pick-up time, the balls are everywhere.

The music on the speaker is still on blare.

I grab a sip of my water, it tastes so good.

After a long practice as it should.

My friends and I all talk for a few,

Tomorrow we will practice again like new.
