Dear 2021 You came and went without a second thought 

You’ve turned my life upside down and now I’m so distraught

It’s hard to think of a time before you were in my life

So much has happened in these past 12 months 

These 12 months filled with strife 

And now you choose to leave me when life is bleakest 

And now I have to face the coming year

When I seem the weakest 

So thank you 2021 for making life so blue 

But when 2022 rolls around the joke will be on you

Because life will kick me down it’ll be a constant battle

I’ll be stuck in schitt's creek, but this time I have a paddle 

Loving Friends and Family ready for me to reach out to

Healthy coping mechanisms so that I'm fine without you 

So 2021 You can go on and leave without me 

Because this coming year I promise, I guarantee
