Every day feels like a chore
Grabbing a cup
Filling it with water
The oblong pill sitting in its container
Which is now in my hand
I place it in my mouth, and drank water but it wouldn’t go down
The water turned from a few sips to now gulps
The pill yearning to go down
But it wouldn’t, just because someone told me…
I am beautiful
