Lily and Leo
Death was a natural thing.
Somehow, yours made my heart sting.
What if I had been there?
Things would’ve changed I swear.
Autumn is when you guys were born.
Now all it does is make me mourn.
Your furs as white as snow,
Your eyes that used to glow,
Are now as dull as dough.
I remember seeing the burnt bodies,
They no longer looked like everybody’s.
And that made my full heart sink.
My mind could no longer think.
I miss you guys more than life
Loneliness cuts like a knife.
Why did you guys have to leave so early?

Lily and Leo are my goats or were. They died in a fire.
