Dear stranger
Dear stranger,
I know how you feel,
The world's a wreck and,
so are we,
all our wounds are now left alone,
there's no one to tend,
just some blood to owe,
dear friend,
I reckon you faithful,
for these miseries and torture
have left the world hateful,
for what we are aches us,
and what we give
breaks us,
for these blinding hazes
have left us frightening,
this world is hokum,
it has left me
silent,
dear stranger,
I know how you feel,
disarmed and disowned,
but with a will to live.
