Sitting in the living room hearing the thumping in my head
matching the same beat of my heart.
Wondering if it’s the sound of the TV playing,
or the birds loud chirping that’s causing the thunder in my head,
or is it just the thoughts that
are talking and crossing in my brain.
Maybe it’s the bright lights causing
the heat in front of my head
but I can hear whispers going around again.
Going through a wave while laying down
in the couch.
Holding a blue pillow to cover my face
hoping that the storm that’s in me goes away.
