Remember the memories
Soon I will drift away
And when I do
Remember me as I was and
not what I have become,
Not as I lay but as I lived.
Remember the memories and
The image that I once was
Rather than reminisce and regret,
Although I’m gone,
And my once youthful River has gone dry
my love will never drift away
but rather
it will be placed in a box
and put away somewhere
I can reach
When we meet again,
Hopefully in another life.
