Time is a thief. The girl and the boy were driving upstate for their first anniversary. They were driving to a ski resort where they first met. Time is a thief.

The girl didn’t see the sign telling her to slow down. She kept going, going, and going until suddenly, their car was flipped over the cliff. Time is a thief.

He didn’t want to be alive, not after what happened to the girl. Survivors’ guilt, they called it. He called it a betrayal. Time is a thief. He liked visiting her headstone every day. He brought a bouquet with him every time for her to admire. He spent hours crying next to her, watching the clouds and stars, hoping she was watching with him. Time is a thief.

However, this time he did not come alone, but with a bottle of pills and a sharp tool, just in case. As he obsessively devoured the pills, he thought about the fun times he and the girl had together. Time is a thief. Their time together will come.

Time is a thief. He soon arrived right next to her grave, with not one but two pairs of flowers. This time he was not alone, this time they were together.
