To be in the car with my family on our way to my favorite place for family night.

To finally get there and my brother wanting to race me to the rumbling crashes of the water.

To go to the beach and feel the sand between my toes, to breathe the salty ocean air.

To feel the warm sun beaming on my skin as the cool water roars.

To see all the little children building sand castles with their family and seeing who can make theirs bigger.

To hear the pelicans squawking above me, to watch for little crabs in the sand.

To watch the sun slowly get closer to touching the water, the sky is so full of warm and beautiful colors.

To wonder what goes beyond the horizon and below. Even though it’s a mystery, oh how this place brings me peace.
