The Clock's Will
Time is moving against our will
And our whole lives seem to be wired
Fearful of when the clock begins to still
I am far too young to feel this shrill
Yet far too old to be this tired
Time is moving against our will
So here we stand and wait until
The man who controls our lives get fired
Fearful of when the clock begins to still
We all rise to the top of the clock’s hill
And freedom from its grasp is desired
Time is moving against our will
As oldness narrows down for the kill
Someone stood and stayed and admired
Fearful of when the clock begins to still

This piece is meant to embody my fear of the passing of time and the simultanious realization that it will never slow.
