Fire. fire. Pain. fear.
Anger red hot boils over
Ignored
Cools off
Simmers under the skin
Skin hardens
Fire
Trapped inside
Kill it. Kill it.
Freeze it
Numb
Ice. Ice. Soothe the misery.
Gets colder, colder
Everything slows.
Feeling stops:
Both hope and despair
Suffocate
Like a candle flame
Helplessly Snuffed Out
The war was almost over.
Small steps towards the light
But impatience grew
And froze it all
Turning everything gray
Spreads to the core
Frostbite overtakes
the Soul
Apathy permeates,
creates
internal suicide.
