Differing Perspectives Christmas Tree

Stuck in a box

All year until Christmas

Or, maybe thanksgiving

Some love me more

I'm dragged out from hiding

I'm put together part by part

Eventually springing higher than everyone

I can be fake or real

Next thing you know

I'm all tangled in wires and bright

And to top it off a big bright star

I guess that's my head

All cozy in the corner

Out of everyone's way

I constantly get stared at

Oh, sorry for hiding all of your presents

I'm the only one who gets to see Santa

He stores all of your goodies under me

Yep, I spotted all of you kids waking up at six in the morning

Turn on my lights, Jingle all of my ornaments

Take your time opening your gifts

The more you open means the end of my shift

I don’t mind a picture

Might have to back up to get all of me in the photo

Well, now it's time to shut me down

Take off my lights and decorations

Everyone does it with disappointment

The best season is over

Wrapped in my box to sleep for another year

I really love christmas, its my favorite holiday. I wrote this piece I thought it would be funny to write a piece from the perspective of a christmas tree. Pretty much if the christmas tree had thoughts about what was happening from the "eyes" of a christmas tree.
