The soft tickling of feathers

Like a cloud on my face

Waking me up in the morning.

You can change your touch

Whether you want to be hard

Like a rock for support

Or as soft as a

Rabbit’s fur for comfort.

Your the cushion for

my head when I sleep

And a friend who holds

my face when I cry

Soaking up the tears

Like a sponge to water.

You can fit anyone’s taste

Coming in a multitude of colors

Whether that be plain white

Or a more flashy floral.

You can be a gift

On someone’s bed,

Or laying on a couch

Making a house a home.

You are a bag for children to

Hold their halloween goodies,

Of gooey chocolates warm

From sitting at the bottom

Of your soft embrace.

You’ve been used for the

Construction of forts

Allowing children’s

dreams to become realities

Of castles with dragons

Or small little homes

Where imaginary families

Living in their own little worlds.

Not everyone loves you,

Some may prefer your cousin

Who cushions their seats

Allowing for their dreary body

To sit on them after a long day.

But it's you who is there at night

To let their body rest and forget

That long stressful day.

You who holds onto dreams

Of both the young and old,

Allowing us to drift off.
