J.O.Y.
J.O.Y
Clouds whistling cool winds on a tropic day
Popsicles melting in our mouths as we run around and play.
Petting pretty precious puppies as we walk around outside
Exploding after the adrenaline from a roller coaster ride
Eating a sandwich as tall as Shaggy
Sleeping in well so our eyes won’t be baggy.
Like playing laser tag in the broad daylight
Nor can we see it, not even in the pitch of night.
It’s not touchable, you see, for that’s all very true.
It’s a feeling we can describe through what we say, see, and do.
It’s in the air, it’s everywhere. Above, Below, Up and Down.
So know that you can jump so high, but gravity and this very thing always reaches the ground.
You express this in many ways; with a jump, exclaim, or cry.
It’ll always be there, so don’t expect a goodbye.
So, if I must opinionate my way of the truth,
JOY to me is a Jump Of Youth.
