My Poetry Collection
Sadness
Roses are red.
Violets are blue and so am I.
My frown is a smile turned upside down.
In life, there’s ups and downs, but right now I’m experiencing the downs.
Sadness is a violent rainstorm with an undetermined ending, raging, and raging.
Sadness is like a step on the chest, breaking your heart and not for the best.
Sadness feels like a snowman after winter or the color gray, making you have a bad day. In life, there’s meetings and partings, and some rain to pour.
Hopes
May you do great every day.
May you do great every year.
May you not shed a tear.
May you not have fear.
Glad to have someone like you.
We may not talk every day.
We may not always have things to say.
But when we do, you brighten up my day.
When we do, we both know what to say.
Glad to have a friend like you to cheer me up when I’m feeling blue.
