Winter Morning

I wake up in the morning

To find out that it is storming

I pull my blankets over me

Cold in bed and half asleep

I go to take a step outside

And then the freezing multiplies

I feel this very cold breeze

Feeling like I might freeze

But when I take a look up into the sky

I see the storm’s about to die

Waiting for the storm to clear up

I pour some hot coffee into my cup

I grab a blanket and turn on a movie

And through the window I see the beauty

The beauty of the snow falling down again

And a sight that no one could ever forget

The author's comments:

I have writen many poems about snow days and winter mornings so with this poem I combined my two favorites and made them into one. I love the snow and cold weather and believe that snow is a beautiful part of nature, and in honor of that I made this poem.
