The Demon of your Dreams
You hear the thing causing the trouble and tumult
The horror that is now upon you at last
In your bed you see that thing, you cannot move as a result
You awaken from your dream at last
You glance at the window, you see that the night is overcast
You imagine that thing again and try to move, but you find that it is difficult
You fall asleep once again and midnight had now surpassed
The thing appears in your dream and you think it’s the occult
You cannot wake nor shake but you are aghast
With the thing, you try to consult
You awaken from your dream at last

This piece is called a roundel, which is a different type of poem. This poem is about sleep paralysis and what it feels like to experience for some people. This poem could be categorized as horror and health as well. I wrote this poem for an English project I had to do.
