Meadows of tulips swayed with the breeze

As the trees rejoiced with kelly green leaves

Buzzing and tweets filled the air

The moon’s light became fair

Rain of honey trickled down

Magnificent kings flew northbound

A slumber of seven months has come to an end

The grizzly beast reigns again

Long ears fluttered in caves

Leatherbacks fill the waves

Ground squirrels emerge from borrows

Angora rabbits are unusual fellows

The essence of romance comes from magnolias

Tall lavender fields bloom with dahlias

Sweet dewdrops danced with the grass

As fawns begin to frolic and prance

Oh how the veeries love to sing

Much joy is to come in Spring
