I will not let you
I will not let you control me or who I am
you may damn me for using my voice to assert my choice
but I refuse to bow my head while patriarchy wields its dread
crashing into lives smashing women's freedom and stealing away her rights
I will not let you judge me solely by the color of my skin
instead, I will stand tall lifting my chin
though you may wish me out of your country or dead
I am here to tell you that:
I will stay until my dying day
I will be loud until you give everyone a voice
yet we still will not rejoice
we will be unstopped to make this nation, this continent, this world less corrupt
with your Ideas, you oppress causing endless stress
with your laws, you lock children in cages
regardless of their ages
ripping them from their mothers, will you ever see the pain you cause others?
