Air, a haibun
Just sitting there and breathing was enough. It smelled like live waters and fresh outdoor air. My cousin Maria and I sat on the soft sand and leaned on the totally unharmed tree trunk, we laughed and talked but mostly we watched the sun ripple down across the lake. I loved that tranquil and gorgeous sunset. The view and the warm summer breeze brought peace to my heart. If only the days could look and feel as it did, forever.
Summer, a mild heat
with beautiful golden days,
and breaths of fresh air

This piece is about a beautiful sunset and a peaceful moment. I love this peace because sunsets are a part of me.
