Willow Tree

The old Willow tree,

Was only meant for me.

The tree you once loved,

Killed someone you care about.

Sitting under the tree,

Finding comfort within the leaves.

Your first kiss,

Your last gift.

The tree,

Loved you dearly.

You cut it down,

For your own selfishness.

It never held a grudge,

It still thinks of you like someone it loves.

Love hurts,

That's what the tree just learned.

The tree loved you so,

But you only wanted it to make someone else happy.

The tree is only a trunk,

Now you wanna care.

I don’t think that's fair,

You pretend to care.

Goodnight,

Sad hollow willow tree.

The author's comments:

This poem is about a girl (the tree). She's like a pitstop men take to find their happiness and when they're done using her they cut her down and throw her away.

This poem is about me
