Think about what I could do

If I didn’t have this poem that’s due

Maybe I could build a ship that’s blue

Sail the seven seas through and through

Discover something that’s new

Yes that is so what I’d do!

And when I make that discovery

Everyone would stare in awe and see

“How wonderful!” They’d all agree

They’d know that as captain my command was key

In this great discovery

But what did I find out at sea?

A bright green bird I call a snitchloop

Their wings would do a bit of a droop

Its beak would travel up in quite a swoop

And it’s feathers would be in a strange hoop

I never said it was majestic

And after my expedition,

There would be a statue of me on commission

The press would make it their mission

To praise me for my ambition

People would shower me with fame and fortune to their fruition

Finally, I’d get off my ship that’s blue

And wave goodbye to my crew

But even after all I went through

I’d still have this poem that’s due
