You're like a shadow, you're only passing through.
It's you I'll never know, mot the way they do.
I want something that will last, with you that won't happen.
When I see you, my heart beats fast and my feet can't stop tappin.
I want to tell you everything I feel, but I don't want to risk it if it isn't real.
You are a shadow, something that I need,
Everytime you hurt me, my heart begins to bleed.
Why can't you just be honest?
When I think of you, my mind goes catatonic.

I wrote this song while I was going through a rough time with my best friend and her boyfriend- also my friend. He was dating her, but tried to cheat on her with me, and even though I liked him, I rejected him because I didn't want to lose my best friend, and nothing is the same now.
