Clouds
A curtain of white,
waking you up; with its faraway neighbor. As it glides and
flows with the slightest puff or breeze. One after the other, taking
their turns; glinting the kind sun from peaks, like morse code or short
beeps. You’re big and thin, but soft and gentle, you give children an imagination.
And you texturize the vast blue blanket and give all things living different auras.
You filling my heart with happiness and nostalgia, is what brings
a fat smile on my face, and I realize that home
is the place

My inspiration to write about clouds simply came from what made me feel nostalgic. The combination of a bright warm sunny day with gentle flowing clouds and a slight breeze makes me feel like I live in a dream. Clouds are so simplistic and natural, yet there is still so much to say about them. I chose to write it in a concrete form to create a cloud structure to the poem. It helps emphasize what the poem is about and compares so much detail to a simple shape.
